Commissioned for Beach Sessions’ 10th anniversary season, Oceanic Feeling was a large-scale, site-responsive performance by Faye Driscoll that unfolded across the sand and shoreline of Rockaway Beach. Featuring a multi-generational cast, the piece invited audiences to witness a ritualistic journey shaped by the tides, weather, and collective presence. Driscoll choreographed the work to emerge organically from the beach itself, blurring the lines between dancer and viewer, human and environment.
